Wiertła pokryte warstwą TiN przeznaczone są w szczególności do obróbki materiałów trudnoskrawalnych. Zastosowanie powłoki TiN skutkuje wzrostem twardości wierteł, umożliwia przyspieszenie procesu skrawania oraz pozwala uzyskać lepszą jakość obrabianych elementów.
